Device gives accurate punch in and punch out times purely based on fingerprint sensing. Device can be connected to any given LAN so as to manage the device. A web based application will provide assistance for easy management and monitoring of the attendance marked. Software allows employers to track each swipe in and swipe outs to compute the total effective work hours spend over a day within the work area. Device comes in 300, 1000, 3000 and 5000 finger print storage capacity. For 3000 and 5000 storage capacity devices it is possible to extract the stored biometric data from the device and reload the same to another device of same make/model in case the sensor goes faulty. This will eliminate the need for registering the users once again which will be a cumbersome process if the number of registered user volume is high.
Wireless AmritaBios for Attendance
Device has the same capability as the wired but can be powered from a power bank and also can push the sensed data through Wi-Fi connectivity back to the users network. This is much needed in hostels where wardens need to take the machines to each rooms to mark the presence of a student to avoid malpractices.
